Inspired by a line from an old story:

It is said that someone once asked Michelangelo how he created the statue of David. His answer, “All I did was chip away everything that was not David.”

The spiraling unwrapping of the outside of the ball symbolizes all that is being chipped away to reveal the masterpiece, the beautiful concentric lights inside. The bright light represents the brilliance of the uniquely sculpted individuals all of us are, our intrinsic, one of a kind, value always present.
